Coursework in this program focuses on establishing competence in one or more subdisciplines of psychology (e.g., social, personality, cognitive, developmental), with an emphasis on evolutionary understandings of these areas. Students complete departmental core courses, three required departmental courses in statistics and research methods, and additional courses in biology, research methods, and other topics as applicable. All students in the ECB program finish enough coursework in statistics and research methods to qualify for the Psychology Department’s Certificate in Quantitative Methods.
